The Crescent delivers a comfortable stay with good-sized rooms and plenty of free parking. Wi-Fi was strong, and the location is only a 10-15 minute walk from the town center, great for exploring Reading's attractions. The check-in process was smooth and cute.
Worn furnishings.

The on-suite room was a reasonable size for 2 people, with tea making facilities, hair dryer and TV which were not mentioned in the advert. It was very near the Reading records office, where we were doing research, and the city shopping centre. The weekend breakfast was a smaller cooked version of the mid week one, rather than a continental breakfast.
The hot water was only just warm and it was not a power shower.

The location in a secure area was magnificent and decent and there were a market and shops nearby. Our room was extremely pleasant with amazing value for money and the staff were outstandingly accommodating, had free Wi-Fi.

Decent free parking and reasonably strong Wi-Fi. The close distance to town made for easy exploration without much hassle.
Rooms too small and cleanliness issues evident. Several lights out in corridors created a dark and potentially unsafe environment. Noise from other guests made it hard to get a good night's sleep, bothersome at night.

Decent hotel with functional yet unspectacular rooms. It was cheap and provided a perfectly acceptable bed for the night and a breakfast the following morning.
The breakfast wasn't particularly impressive, but then you can't expect too much at this low price.

good location for walking into town centre. good breakfast - promptly served but didn't feel rushed, although the tables were not efficiently cleared from other guests
there was only a single pillow case, stuffed full, but not especially comfortable

Good value, simple but comfortable, welcoming.
Having to change my room, although I was given a better room, it was slightly inconvenient.

The key access to the front door was a lifesaver! 😅 But, wow, the room was filthy, with a grimy window and dusty everything. The staff weren’t friendly either. Not worth the hassle!

The overall experience was quite disappointing, with
The room being cramped, and the bathroom not well-maintained. The staff were friendly, a positive, but I encountered issues such as street noise and thin walls disrupting my sleep.
